Debut Open Music Programme 2019

Open Music Programme at Belian Brasserie, South Wimbledon

​

To see and to be seen - this Open Music Programme provides a platform for music lovers, students or musicians in their early career to practice and gain more public performance experience. Also an opportunity to share with like minded people and learn from each other. 

​

Bring your instruments, background music and/or your voice. There will be a piano and PA system set up. Bring your family and friends to cheer you on.

​

Great experience for those needing performance practice.

Monthly on a Friday, April to October 2019

The programme takes place every month on a Friday between April to October,

 

Date: Fri 19 Apr, Fri 10 May, Fri 14 Jun, Summer break Jul, Fri 9 Aug, Fri 13 Sep, Fri 11 Oct

 

Time: 20.00 to 22.30

Fee: £3 for participants; free for audience

IIt is not just another “open mic”

To encourage more practice, experience and exposure, in this six-months programme we will select a best performer each month and at the end of the programme the accumulated Best Performer will have the opportunity to, 

​

1/ have one song professionally recorded in a studio, fully sponsored

2/ have their song broadcasted and interview on the radio programme with Jenny Gr
3/ perform in front of a public audience with honorarium

​

Who should participate?

In order to participate, you need to be

  • Over 16

  • A solo musician and/or a singer, with or without instructment

  • Passionate to pursue a career in music

​

How it works?

  • Each participant will have the opportunity to play two songs in front of the audience in each session

  • There will be a maximum of 10 to 15 participants per session

  • A best performer will be announced each month and they will be invited to the end of programme concert to complete for the Best Performer of the programme in October

Music Host - Vocalist Jenny Green

We co-host this six-months programme with broadcaster, singer & vocal coach Jenny Green.
​
From Jenny's early love of pop music to big band, jazz and a capella, she has a wealth of knowledge, expertise, skill and experience. With her ever expanding repertoire, covering songs from the world of Jazz, swing, to soul, Latin and popular standards. Jenny has many years’ experience in the music industry and is a regular at gigs with her bands in London music venues, including the iconic Ronnie Scott. Jenny is very well known and loved among her musicians peers especially in South London.

Jenny is a presenter for 107 Meridian FM Jazz Mix Up. On the show, Jenny often features tracks from up and coming jazz artists and gives out a gig guide and interviews guests live on the show.
