Literally light up a room with this fun workshop.
At this fun filled workshop you will make and take home the lampshade that you will have made and personally decorated! You will create your bespoke and unique lampshade using the same techniques that the professionals use. You will learn all the tips and tricks of the trade from our expert interiors textile designer who will be your tutor for the day and learn how to beautifully construct a lampshade from scratch to be either hung from a ceiling or attached to a lamp base.
This workshop is fantastic if you have vintage or old lamp bases that you cannot part with and wish to spark a lease of life into them or if you want to add that personal touch to any room.? We will supply the wire base and drum as well as plain fabric ready for printing. If you have a particular patterned / fabric you want to print over then feel free to bring in your own fabric – let us know in advance so we can give you the measurements.
During this one day course we will be looking at:
* What is the difference between the various materials that can be used?
* How to correctly assemble the drum wire
* Direction on the correct way to ensemble the base and drum
You will depart the workshop with an excellent handmade lampshade that you have personally created and all the knowledge to go on to make more to decorate your home, or give as present. Why not turn your new skill into a business, sell your wonderful new creations.
