Cool & Swinging jazz songs on a summer evening from velvet voiced singer Jo Harrop & her trio.
Jo is a popular voice on the London jazz circuit, with a vast repertoire of music, from the likes of the great songwriters from the american songbooks and beyond. Influenced by Billie Holiday, Anita O’Day, Nina Simone, Peggy Lee, Nancy Wilson, Bessie Smith, Sarah Vaughn, Julie London & Ella Fitzgerald to name a few, but with her own distinct style, she is said to have “ All the warmth and sensibility to melt even the chilliest of hearts”. In recent years Jo is frequently seen on the stage at major music venues in London including Royal Albert Hall, The Sage, The 606 Club, Jazz Café, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Twickenham Jazz and The Savoy.
On this evening Jo will be performing with an ace team - Harry Sankey on guitar and Darren McCarthy on bass.
