The Band

Leading by vocalist Alma Lansiquot, The Alma Lansiquot Trio is a deeply soulful jazz trio which features Bassist Mike Searl and world renowned guitarist Les Davidson.

London born Alma Lansiquot is a Jazz singer and songwriter whose own compositions coupled with her warm, earthy and intimate interpretation of jazz standards stem from a musical background that is essentially eclectic yet deeply rooted in soul. With influences ranging from Billie Holiday, Carmen Mcrae, Ella, Sarah, Dinah Washington and Shirley Horn to Bert Jansch, the Beatles, Mark Murphy, Otis Redding and Nat King Cole, Alma's music encompasses an essence that is distilled into an original authentic experience with each performance.

"Alma Lansiquot is a captivating singer whose warm, rich tone brings a cool, authentic sound to vocal jazz today. Her performances of songs from the Great American Songbook as well as some more modern classics are an inspiration and delight to audiences and artists alike." - Brixton Buzz.
