Fri 25th March: Jewellery Making Workshop

25/03/2022 @ 7:30pm

Come and join us for a relaxing evening making a piece of jewellery for yourself and leaning a new skill over a glass of wine and maybe a cheeky gin or cocktail!

On Friday 25 March, experienced jeweller and instructor Liz Varley will teach us how to make a bracelet using the peyote stitch technique.

*About the workshop*

During this session participants will be introduced to peyote stitch, with the object of making a bracelet.

Instruction and all art equipment and materials will be provided. You will learn how to create stripes, triangles and chevron patterns by changing colour beads and incorporated it into your designs. A loop and button clasp will be added to finish your very own bracelet.

If time allows, participants can even make a quick pair of star earrings!

*The instructor - Liz Varley*

Liz is an experienced jewellery maker and instructor who has been making silver jewellery for nearly 40 years now.

She began her jewellery making journey by taking evening classes then move on to City and Guilds to further study enamelling and casting.

Since then she has sold her jewellery through word of mouth, at local craft fairs and in local galleries.
